Mark Tolle, President
FIT-TO-PERFORM, LLC
GOLF FITNESS Chicago

I have over eighteen years of experience in athletic training, rehabilitation and fitness—including a stint at the Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, New York and the LPGA Fitness Van.

In addition to golfers, I have worked with athletes at all levels in a variety of sports, including football, running and cycling. I'm a Licensed Athletic Trainer, Certified NSCA Strength & Conditioning Specialist, Titleist Performance Institute Certified Instructor, and an NASM Certified Personal Trainer. And yes, I'm also an avid golfer, having picked up my first club as a twelve-year-old. So I understand the sport and how fitness (or lack thereof) affects your game.

I hold a Masters Degree in Human Performance and Exercise Science from Western Illinois University. But my education and training go well beyond a degree. Since 1989, I've participated in 65 training workshops, programs and seminars. So you can bet your nine iron that I'm current in the latest techniques and training.

My Approach to Fitness
Trained in the Egoscue Method®¹ of Posture Correction and the Muscle Activation Jumpstart Technique², I believe health and fitness are based on the relationship between structure and function. In other words, your body's structure or postural alignment affects how your body functions. This is at the heart of my philosophy and my approach to treatment and training.

My goal is to assess problems and improve function. So I design an individualized program for each client, focusing on postural alignment, flexibility, stability, balance, strength and power.

Years in the field have convinced me that fundamental movements often need to be reestablished, or relearned, before any progress can be made in the golf exercise program. So I'm committed to using all of the tools in my toolbox to get my clients where they want to be.

¹ Egoscue Method®
Egoscue Method is a postural therapy program that involves a series of stretches and gentle exercises. It is designed to treat musculoskeletal pain without drugs, surgery, or manipulation, enabling people to live an active, pain-free life.

² Muscle Activation Jumpstart Technique
The MAT Technique is a drug-free, non-invasive approach to the assessment and correction of muscular imbalances in the body. The goal is to restore function, enabling pain-free movement. By identifying restrictions in motion, joint instability, muscular tightness, compensation patterns and muscle weakness, the MAT trainer is able to design a program to "jumpstart" the muscles so that they work correctly.

"I¹ve known Mark for fifteen years and share his commitment to functional analysis and treatment. His training in the Egoscue Method has been of great benefit to a number of my athletes.

Mark¹s understanding of the biomechanics of the golf swing is outstanding and enhances his golf fitness programs. He uses this knowledge to personalize his programs, providing customized care to each client.

I have tremendous respect for his integrity and the passion he brings to his profession."
