Want to Improve Your Golf Game? After eighteen years of working with golf clients, I'm convinced that posture is one of the most overlooked areas in fitness -- not only when it comes to general fitness training, but also in training golfers. So my premise is this: improve your golf posture, and you'll see a better swing, increased power and improved accuracy in your shots. The Posture Assessment When developing personalized exercises for golfers, I begin by observing your normal standing posture as well as your golf posture at address. This tells me a lot about how your body is working and what restrictions there may be when you're swinging the golf club. A Few Words About Posture How Posture Impacts Golfers Tight muscles and restrictions in the upper back not only prevent you from maintaining good posture at address, but cause bad positions in your swing. And, you know what a bad golf swing can result in. That's right, a lousy golf shot! Which is why we say, "improve your posture and watch your game improve".
